# OneSignal External ID Setup Guide

### Recommended Setup:

Set this action to trigger on page load for immediate user ID association or attach it to specific user actions when appropriate.

### Steps:

1. In the Workflow tab, select Page Load or the desired user action.
2. Add the Set External ID action.
3. Set the User property to reference the current user. This unique ID will register with OneSignal, linking push notifications to this user.
